Nothing like enjoying the great outdoors for a couple of hours on a Thursday morning hike. It's not everywhere that Puget Sound and its scenic islands dominate the view! Whidbey Island offers this hike, among others, and is moderately easy and, as you can see, very uncrowded on a week day in September. Beautiful driftwood covers the beach as the waves lap the shore. Ebey's Landing is the nation's first historical reserve, created in 1978 to protect a rural working landscape and community on Central Whidbey island. Sept 16, 2011
